Stanford has released an online course directed toward managers and employers.
This course takes approximately 13 hours to complete. The cost for the course is $765.00, and users have access to the materials and online content for 60 days.
Course Description:
Employees everywhere are demanding flexible work options and employers are reacting by moving toward hybrid work models where, on any given day, some people may be in the office and some will be working remotely. This ever-shifting dynamic requires leaders to reconsider and adjust skills they have mastered in the in-person environment so that their hybrid and virtual teams remain effective and happy. Leaders must pay special attention to how culture, trust, motivation and interpersonal connections are created and maintained within this new environment.
With the right kind of guidance, remote and hybrid teams can produce great results. In this self-paced online course on managing remote and hybrid teams, you will learn skills to help your team stay healthy, motivated, and effective. You'll learn about the particular benefits and challenges of remote and hybrid teams, how technology could psychologically affect you and your teams, and what company policies for remote/hybrid environments our faculty recommend.
You’ll understand how to reap the benefits of every scenario so that you can make the most of meetings, “heads down” time, creative exercises such as brainstorming, and social time.
This online management course is self-paced so that you can work through it on your own time. Stanford professors from the Graduate School of Business and the Management Science and Engineering Department are your on-demand guides to new leadership frameworks that will help you navigate the world of hybrid-remote team management.
