LifeShack Terms & Conditions

Effective and last updated: August 20, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between LifeShack Inc. (“LifeShack,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the person who accesses or uses the Service (“you”). These Terms govern your use of lifeshack.com and LifeShack’s related job-search, application, subscription, and AI-assisted services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, activating Auto Apply, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Important: Section 16 contains a binding arbitration agreement and class-action waiver for most U.S. users. It includes instructions for opting out.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You must provide accurate, current, and complete account information and keep it updated. You are responsible for activity under your account and for protecting your password, authentication tokens, and any third-party credentials you authorize us to use. Notify support@lifeshack.com promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may not create an account for another person or use another person’s identity, résumé, credentials, or employment information without their express authorization. We may require reasonable verification of your identity or authority.

2. What LifeShack Does

LifeShack is an AI-assisted job-search and auto-apply service. Depending on the features you use, the Service may:

  • find and prioritize job listings using your profile and preferences;
  • prepare or tailor résumés, cover letters, and application answers;
  • complete and submit supported job applications;
  • create or interact with accounts on third-party job platforms when needed; and
  • track application activity in your dashboard.

Not every job, employer, question, or application platform is supported. Listings and application forms can change without notice, and some applications may require your input or manual completion.

3. Your Authorization for Auto Apply

When you activate Auto Apply or direct us to complete an application, you appoint LifeShack as your non-exclusive, limited agent only to perform the application-related actions described in the Service. You authorize us to use the information, documents, preferences, and reusable answers you provide to identify jobs, generate materials, populate forms, create or access application accounts, upload documents, answer supported questions, and submit applications to job boards, staffing firms, and potential employers.

This authorization continues until you pause or disable the applicable feature, close your account, or we terminate the Service. Pausing or disabling the Service may not stop an application that has already been submitted or is already being processed. LifeShack may not accept an employment offer, agree to an employment contract, complete an interview, or make a legally binding employment decision for you.

You can manage supported controls, including job preferences, pause settings, and company blocklists. You are responsible for configuring those controls before activating Auto Apply and for reviewing your dashboard regularly.

4. Your Information, Application Materials, and AI Output

4.1 Accuracy and authorization

You are responsible for ensuring that all profile information, work history, education, qualifications, work authorization, demographic information, documents, credentials, and reusable answers you provide are truthful, lawful, current, and yours to use. You must promptly correct inaccurate information.

4.2 AI-generated materials

AI-generated or tailored résumés, cover letters, answers, job matches, and other output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular application. You remain responsible for the accuracy of the underlying information and for reviewing available settings, drafts, and application activity. Do not use the Service to fabricate qualifications, impersonate another person, or make a false statement.

4.3 License needed to provide the Service

You retain ownership of content you provide. You grant LifeShack and its service providers a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, format, modify, generate derivative application materials from, transmit, and otherwise process that content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service, comply with law, and carry out your instructions. This license ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except for copies we must retain by law, in backups, or with recipients to whom an application was already sent.

4.4 Third-party credentials

If you provide credentials or authorize access to a third-party job platform, you direct us to use that access for the Service. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to provide that access. We may refuse to store or use a credential, and we may require you to complete authentication or security challenges yourself.

5. Application Credits and Introductory Access

Start with 5 free application credits. No credit card required. Application credits measure eligible use of supported application workflows as described in the Service. A credit is not cash, has no cash value, and may not be transferred, resold, or redeemed outside the Service.

Free or promotional credits may be limited by eligibility, availability, expiration, supported workflows, and other conditions shown during signup or in your account. Unless we expressly state otherwise, unused free or promotional credits do not create a right to payment, refund, or replacement. We may correct credits granted in error or obtained through abuse. Purchasing a paid subscription requires a separate, affirmative checkout action.

6. Paid Subscriptions, Renewal, and Cancellation

6.1 Prices and billing

Paid features may be offered as recurring monthly, quarterly, annual, or other subscriptions. Before you subscribe, the checkout flow will display the price, billing frequency, included features or credits, and any material promotional terms. Prices do not include taxes unless stated otherwise. You authorize LifeShack and its payment processor to charge the payment method you provide for the amounts shown at checkout and applicable taxes.

6.2 Automatic renewal

Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Unless you cancel before the renewal charge is processed, the payment method on file will be charged the then-current renewal price. We will provide renewal or price-change notices when required by law.

6.3 Cancellation

You may cancel online at any time through the billing or subscription controls in your account, or by contacting support@lifeshack.com. Cancellation stops future renewals and ordinarily takes effect at the end of the paid billing period. You will receive confirmation when cancellation is completed. Deleting the app or stopping use of the Service does not by itself cancel a subscription.

6.4 Changes, failed payments, and plan limits

We may change subscription prices or plan features prospectively. We will give advance notice when required by law, and you may cancel before a change takes effect. If a payment fails, we may retry the charge, suspend paid features, or cancel the subscription. Plan limits and credit treatment are described at checkout and in your account; unused plan benefits expire or roll over only if the applicable plan expressly says so.

6.5 Refunds

Except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase, charges are non-refundable and we do not provide prorated refunds for a partially used billing period. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable cancellation, refund, or cooling-off right that applies to you.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not:

  • use the Service for fraud, deception, harassment, unlawful discrimination, spam, or any illegal purpose;
  • submit false qualifications or applications for jobs you are not authorized to pursue;
  • circumvent security, rate limits, access controls, or plan restrictions;
  • upload malicious code or interfere with the Service or another user;
  • scrape, harvest, or copy data from the Service except as expressly permitted;
  • reverse engineer the Service except to the limited extent the restriction is prohibited by law;
  • use the Service or its output to train or build a competing product without our written permission; or
  • sell, sublicense, share, or transfer your account or access to the Service.

8. Job Platforms, Employers, and Other Third Parties

Job listings, employers, job boards, applicant-tracking systems, payment services, and other third-party services are not controlled by LifeShack. Their terms and privacy practices apply to your interactions with them. You are responsible for deciding whether your use of the Service complies with applicable third-party terms. A third party may reject an application, change or remove a listing, restrict automated access, or take action on an account. LifeShack is not responsible for a third party’s acts, omissions, content, availability, hiring decisions, or use of information you direct us to submit.

9. Intellectual Property and Feedback

The Service, including its software, designs, workflows, documentation, trademarks, and non-user content, is owned by LifeShack or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use them without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you as the source without permission.

10. Copyright Complaints

If you believe content available through the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice containing the information required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to dmca@lifeshack.com. We may remove allegedly infringing content and terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.

11. Privacy and Electronic Communications

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Our Cookie Policy explains our use of cookies and similar technologies. Service messages, including security, account, application, billing, and legal notices, are part of the Service and are not marketing messages. You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the message, but you may still receive necessary service communications.

12. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account through available account controls. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure, failed to pay, abused the Service, or if suspension is needed to protect users, third parties, or the Service. When practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.

After termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, dispute resolution, and miscellaneous terms—will survive.

13. Changes or Discontinuation of the Service

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, integrations, or plan offerings. We do not promise that any particular job platform, listing source, application volume, or feature will always remain available. If we discontinue a paid Service in a way that materially reduces the remainder of your current paid period, we will provide any remedy required by law.

14. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” LIFESHACK DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY.

LIFESHACK DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL FIND OR COMPLETE ANY PARTICULAR NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS, THAT AN APPLICATION WILL BE ACCEPTED OR REVIEWED, OR THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE AN INTERVIEW, OFFER, OR OTHER EMPLOYMENT OUTCOME. RESULTS DEPEND ON YOUR INFORMATION, PREFERENCES, QUALIFICATIONS, THE JOB MARKET, EMPLOYERS, THIRD-PARTY SYSTEMS, AND OTHER FACTORS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.

15. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIFESHACK AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST OPPORTUNITIES, LOST DATA, REPUTATIONAL HARM, OR THE ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF JOB PLATFORMS OR EMPLOYERS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US$100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO LIFESHACK IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. THESE LIMITS DO NOT APPLY WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT LAWFULLY BE LIMITED.

You will indemnify and hold harmless LifeShack and its affiliates, officers, employees, and contractors from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your false or unauthorized Application Data, or your material violation of these Terms or third-party rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by LifeShack’s own unlawful conduct.

16. Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, and Class-Action Waiver

16.1 Informal resolution

Before filing a claim, you and LifeShack agree to try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Send a written notice describing the dispute, the relief requested, and your contact and account information to support@lifeshack.com. LifeShack will send notices to the email associated with your account.

16.2 Arbitration

If a dispute is not resolved informally, you and LifeShack agree that any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act, administered by JAMS under its rules applicable to the dispute, including its consumer minimum standards where applicable. Arbitration may occur by video, telephone, written submissions, or in Los Angeles County, California, as the arbitrator permits. The arbitrator may award the same individual remedies available in court.

16.3 Exceptions

Either party may bring an eligible individual claim in small-claims court. Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court for unauthorized access, misuse, or infringement of intellectual-property rights. Nothing in this section prevents you from reporting an issue to a government agency.

16.4 No class proceedings; jury waiver

YOU AND LIFESHACK AGREE TO BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, REPRESENTATIVE, OR PRIVATE-ATTORNEY-GENERAL ACTION. TO THE EXTENT A CLAIM PROCEEDS IN COURT, YOU AND LIFESHACK WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.

16.5 Opting out

You may opt out of Sections 16.2 and 16.4 by emailing support@lifeshack.com within 30 days after you first accept these Terms. Your notice must include your full name, the email associated with your account, and an unambiguous statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out will not affect the other Terms.

16.6 Non-U.S. users

If applicable law does not permit arbitration or the waivers above, those provisions do not apply to you, and you retain any non-waivable right to bring a claim in your local courts.

17. Governing Law

California law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs Section 16. Subject to Section 16 and any non-waivable local rights, courts located in Los Angeles County, California have exclusive jurisdiction.

18. General Terms

These Terms and the policies incorporated by reference are the entire agreement between you and LifeShack regarding the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum permissible extent and the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. Headings are for convenience only. The English version controls if these Terms are translated.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, or our practices. We will post the updated Terms and revise the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when required by law. Changes apply prospectively from their stated effective date. Your continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
